Landscapers are booked way out in advance here due to all the new builds and all the folks moving to the Treasure Valley. Expect to have to call around just to get someone to come out to give you a quote. And, sadly, many of those companies will not come back with an actual quote. Last year I hired Leatham Landscaping in July to put in my back yard; it was completed in mid October. This year, they are about a year out on new projects. However, they did a great job on my backyard and this year they just completed a an full "re-do" of my front yard. Pavers, new sod, plants, and gravel. Next year they will expand my patio in the back and add a patio cover and pergolas on each side.
Many subdivisions here in the TV offer pressurized irrigation (non-potable) water for your yard. This generally starts in mid-April and runs until mid-October. In years where water is less than usual, your service maybe cut off earlier. (My subdivision ended our service in mid September this year. ) Cost varies - this year my cost was appx. $80 for unlimited water.
There are definitely four seasons in the TV although most of the time our winters are pretty mild. Still, there are specific things you need to do for each season.
In the fall (before the first hard freeze) you will need someone to "blow out" your sprinklers to avoid have any freezing issues. In early spring, you will need to have this process reversed. It's a fairly inexpensive and quick process to have done if you don't want to do it yourself.
